In my 3rd real creation in Unreal engine I tried to focus on a few things:
Firstly: the snow. I found out about this add-on for blender called RealSnow, which I then used to generate meshes for the snow. I could have done the snow with texturing but somehow for a really snowed in scene, with a lot of thick snow, this felt more appropriate.
Secondly, I wanted something to move in the scene. I love to make landscapes and random areas, but the scene really lives when something is actually happening, so I used some zombie models from mixamo in this scene. Thus, I learned how to import those fbx animations correctly and track them in the level sequencer.
And then I also wanted snow falling down, which I did with a particle system. Personally, I think that's the least appealing thing about the scene, since it maybe could have been done better, but hey, I'm still learning.
Looking forward to creating more, real soon.
