Sculpting in ZBrush. Texturing, Lighting and Rendering in Cinema 4D.
I'm a big fan of the graphic novels in the Blacksad-series and ever since I started with 3D I really wanted to recreate something like that. So now with ZBrush I had the possibility to create a character So I started sculpting Blacksad and building his office in Cinema 4D.
It was a 2-day process with a lot of hard work and a lot of lighting tests, and on the first day I was really pissed because it just didn't look realistic in any way to me. (My expectations of myself were once again too high and I guess I was hoping to see a Jungle Book-esque result) But on the second day I started to appreciate the animation and the sculpt for the vibe and the look it had so I made my renders appreciating that style.
I'd like to think that this is one of my best 3D works yet. But there is stil so much more room for improvement.
