BASEMENT & VENUE - Digital Fashion Show Concept in Unreal Engine 5

A little specific look at the Basement and Venue design for my Digital Fashion Show in Unreal Engine 5.

In this part of the fashion show I wanted to keep the overall vibe a little realistic. I contemplated going for a blank white space, or rebuilding a classic catwalk, but where is the fun in that? That's something that's do-able in real life. These venues would maybe be harder to build or harder to find. For the basement I was inspired by a few scenes from John Wick 2. I decided to combine these old looking basement walls with the neon lights and DMX spots. For the Venue I was inspired by stuff I found on pinterest, but the challenge here was to make the venue feel like there was an audience present. Creating crowds is still something I struggle with, and I could pit unrealistic humans against the realistic metahumens, so I decided to go with the neon outline of the people and I think that turned out pretty good.

One of my favorite shots in the entire show. The first shot where we see the clothing without metahuman or mannequin.

My favourite garment I made, I think.

The basement was inspired by John Wick where I wanted to pair the old looking walls with the neon lighting and fast moving video.

How to transition from one venue to the next? The LED walls became a throughline to provide me some transitions in the show.
